Hi there! 👋 Thank you for visiting my website! Here's a little about me:
• I'm a research assistant in UNC's Computer Science department and I was a SWE intern @ CarMax this summer! • HackNC 2021 organizer, Pearl Hacks 2022 organizer and Girls Who Code teaching assistant • Passionate about the outdoors, travel, gardening and introducing other women to CS! • Always looking for new opportunities, contact me if interested! :)
Below are some projects that I have been working on or completed! The code for my research and Monty Python bridge scene project is available upon request.
CovidCarolina
A retro styled application with an interactive GUI to help students at UNC manage online courses.
Utilized Python, Tkinter, Git and VSCode.
Worked on a team to create an app that allowed students to pair their courses with their Zoom links, played calming music, linked to mental health and university resources and calculated courses grades.
A minute long, interactive animation of the bridge scene from Monty Python, complete with knights falling into the gorge.
Utilized Java, Java Swing, ObjectEditor and Eclipse IDE.
Implemented using the model view controller and observer design patterns.
Worked on the project over a course of 4 weeks, and used fundamental concepts such as interfaces and classes, inheritance, polymorphism and encapsulation in order to complete.
State by State (work in progress)
A fun application which returns different maps of the United States and quizzes on the user on what each map represents
Utilized JavaScript, HTML, React, Chakra UI, and VSCode.
A project based on my interests: compares states by education, abortion access and more.
